First Tactical’s complete watch collection is slated to launch this week with the introduction of our Fathom Stainless Steel Dive Watch and Ridgeline Carbon Field Watch. These two watches will join the previously-launched Canyon Digital Compass. The First Tactical Blog team sat down with lead designer, Cory Nykoluk, to break down a few features of each of our new watches.
The Fathom Stainless Steel Dive Watch:
The Fathom Stainless Steel Dive Watch is pressurized to be waterproof to 200 meters making it ideal for search and rescue teams.
Featuring stainless steel housing and bezel, TPSiV band, and super luminova hands this watch is durable enough daily field use, while being sophisticated enough in styling to wear off-duty. The high-quality TPSiV Band will not disintegrate over time and features a ruler (cm/in) and Morse Code guide on the back.
“The idea in the design with this watch was to create something that was durable enough for search and rescue teams to use but nice enough to wear on a night out off-duty,” said Nykoluk, “We have created a durable watch that will work as hard as their wearers do and is durable enough to withstand any test in and out of the water.”
The Ridgeline Carbon Field Watch:
The Ridgeline Carbon Field Watch is the perfect tactical companion: lightweight and durable but sophisticated enough off the clock
Made from a lightweight carbon resin PA and featuring a medium sized watch face, this watch is the ideal compact time piece for the field and active professionals. Boasting an ultra-durable webbing band that is ideal for multiple environments, and super luminova hands, users won’t find a more reliable watch.
“With the Ridgeline we really wanted to cut weight but not durability,” said Nykoluk, “The tactical market features so many watches that are incredibly bulky. With the Ridgeline we were able to make a medium-sized watch that doesn’t sacrifice durability.”
The Fathom Dive Watch will be available in black and titanium and sold for $249.99. The Ridgeline Carbon Field Watch will be available in black (with an OD green band) or brushed steel (with a black band) and sold for $169.99. The previously launched Canyon Digital Compass is available in black, OD green, and coyote and sells for $139.99.
